Lifeline of family in Gaza by evacuating them

Hi everyone! I'm Niamh and I'm writing on behalf of a friend of mine, Ahmad from gaza.

Dear friends, family, and kind hearted souls I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart for help, for someone who has faced unimaginable challenges. My name is Ahmed, a 23-year-old Palestinian dentist, and I find myself in a situation that no one should ever have to experience, trapped in a nightmarish reality as I arrived in Gaza just days before the ongoing "genocide". Filled with hope and excitement, I longed to reunite with my family after six long years of separation. Little did I know that my long-awaited homecoming would turn into a desperate struggle for survival.

The circumstances we’re facing me and my family members have finally spurred me to take a step I had hesitated to take. after consuming all alternative options, I now find myself turning to this platform, humbly seeking your assistance and support to help us evacuate to safety.

So I am starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise the necessary funds to help me, along with my family, relocate to Egypt and continue my internship in ASU university - Cairo

We left our house on the 14th of October to go to the south of Gaza. We did this by intimidation, unimaginable nights of bombing, heavy airstrikes, and the use of white phosphorus. We went to our cousin’s house, a single room, as it was our only space. Basic needs such as water and food are still challenging to get.

We evacuated within Gaza four times, going back and forth, from north Gaza to the middle, fleeing back to the south and evacuating twice there; we have miraculously evaded death on two occasions.

Despite our unwavering resilience, we were confronted with the devastating news that our family home became the direct target of artillery shells, resulting in leaving it entirely consumed by flames. We spent 16 years there, where my parents had put all their efforts into getting us a roof to live under, where we felt love and simply the natural feeling of home.

We can’t deal with so much loss anymore; we must leave somewhere else. I humbly ask you to help me and my family. Regardless of its amount, your donation holds the power to make a significant impact. It means more than just financial assistance. It is a testament to combating injustice, upholding humanity, and affirming a steadfast dedication to preserving human lives.

I have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise (£37,000) to facilitate our evacuation to Egypt and to relocate us to a safer place outside Gaza.

Breakdown of expenses:

- $2,500 for Immediate Support: to cover our fundamental necessities and basic needs like accommodation, food, and other essentials during this transitional period.

- $40,000 for Permits and Crossing Fees: The bulk of the funds, $40,000, are intended to facilitate covering the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza and the crossing fees required at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah. This amount breaks down to $5,000 per person.

- Approximately $2,500 to cover GoFundMe’s

- Transaction fees. Which is (2.9%+£0.30 per donation).
