Life Went to Hell and I don't know what to do

Hey guys. Amber here.

Most of you already know what happened. I'm still wrapping my head around it, but the shock has finally worn off, so I'm trying to be productive and plan ahead while I'm lying here bedridden, with no family support.

This last Friday. My boyfriend and I decided to take my dog for a walk around midnight.
Since the pandemic, I've had to move back home, my mother's dog and mine do not get along so we keep them separate.

It's been an okay set up. Max has the full downstairs. Buddy had the entire upstairs.
We'd simply put Max in his crate and lead Buddy outside whenever we would walk him and it always worked without a hitch.

Friday did not go as planned.

Max was no longer in the crate by the time my boyfriend and I had buddy leashed and led downstairs.

My bf had already been riling Buddy up, Playing and wrestling with him prior, it was late, we had just got off work, and we both wanted to tire him out so we could all relax and just go to sleep.

Somehow. Once I realized that Max wasn't in his crate. I yelled to my bf in a panic to take Buddy back upstairs, but there was no time to think or react or even realize why I was screaming.

My dog was latched onto my leg and shaking his head viciously.

He's never been aggressive towards me.

He's always been a sweet gentle and loving dog. And he's been my rock on many nights where he knows mommy is stressed out and he'll cuddle his head on my lap. Kiss my face, and make everything feel better.

I spent 6 hours in the hospital

The next day was even more traumatic as I had gotten home from the hospital. Family members came and made threats. We're aggressively panicking. Making the situation worse, and I ultimately had to take my dog to be euthanized.

I have 16 deep holes in my leg. 6 of them go all the way down to the bone., many of them are torn, and muscle and fat were torn apart

I need to watch for infection so It doesn't lead to amputation. They classified it between a level 4 and a level 5 dog bite and predicted it will take 1-3 months to heal

Luckily my place of employment will hold my job for me. But there is no SSDI, fmla, or any work there I could do on 'light duty"
I'm a cook, so once I'm capable of standing on both legs without crutches I can go back, but there is too much liability for me to return until then
I don't have insurance at the moment.
And am uncertain how I'll be able to see a specialist or physical therapist once I'm healed.

Alas, This is a horrible sob story and I hate even typing it.

But I'm doing my best to keep my head up after a horribly traumatizing tragedy, losing my sweet boy, losing my livelihood, and losing full-control of my body. ..

If anyone has any resources or charities that they could offer which I may not be aware of, they can email me through the contact button on this page
