In an effort to spread global awareness of the ongoing persecutions against Christians, I will be traveling to India with a small team of people to document, evangelize, and gain further insight into the lives of people who deal with cultural/religious afflictions.
While in India, we will visit villages where people have literally never heard the name Jesus and meet with believers who put their lives at-risk daily, by living in an environment where the rate of Christian persecution continues to rise.
My duty on this team will be to document our experience in India and lay the groundwork for my film which depicts a story of the persecuted while living in hostile environments. We are partnering with Passion Ministries in Mysore, India. This trip is only one of a few locations I will be traveling to in order to shoot this project and YOU can be apart of this segment!
When: March 11th-19th.
Where: Mysore, India
Why: To show Western Christians Christianity from a different perspective.
What: Shoot location for our film. Persecution of believers is happening all over the world. We will be telling the stories of men and women who have left everything they know and are risking their lives daily for the gospel while living in a hostile environment.
End goal: We want to digitally distribute this film on multiple platforms.
What the funds will go towards:
1) A 2nd Camera
2) Portable lighting & Batteries for interviews
3) Portable stands
4) Ample storage and backup storage for footage
5) Fast internet connectivity while in India
6) Insurance
7) Any amount over the target $3200 will be put towards continued production costs such as:
-equipment for future shoots for this project
-Writing/Research
-Editing
-Colorist
-Graphic Design
-Audio Mixing
-Film Scoring and Music Licensing
About me: I create content that makes lasting impressions with my company Optical Legacy. My background in video production spans over 15 years starting with church production (with my twin brother), Weddings, TV shows, and most recently an apprenticeship with NFL Films for the last 6 months in New Jersey learning their style of documentary filmmaking.
These funds are needed as soon as possible. We are in the process of preproduction and preparation. Our travel dates are March 9th-20th.
