Life saving treatment for Oats

Updated info 13/01/2022: Oats (renamed Tokyo by her adopter) and her sister Cocoa returned into our care. Unfortunately we have 3 rescues currently in 3 different quarantines at home and couldn’t set a place for them but I was determined not to let her die and Luckily found Kim, a veterinarian that gave them a room in her home and is administrating the treatment that we will fully pay and already started to do so. Today her first shot was given, a cat going through the same treatment had one he could lend us so we immediately started. There was no time to waste. My girls Cocoa and Oats as I named when I rescued them are in a safe, warm home, they are been monitored 24/7 and I’m in constant contact with Kim. We will fight this war side by side and I’ll go visit and cuddle these little cookie monsters as much as I can because they deserve it all. I’m happy we could provide all this with your help. My name is Celeste, I’m owner of Cat rescue diaries and today I’m asking for donations to safe Tokyo’s life.

 

Nothing ever prepare us for this news. Last year we were devastated by the loss of Lucca, who escaped from home and was found dead on the streets, the same with North who after 2 years of being adopted

suddenly got sick (autoimmune desease systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and she was in state of hemolytic) and passed away.

Unfortunately today we got bad news BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO LET THIS CASE HAVE THE SAME ENDING AS THE OTHER 2.

After a few months of being adopted, a super happy go lucky, playful and snuggly Tokyo got sick with peritonitis and we are as devastated as the owner. Tokyo is one of the cats we rescued in Spain and she got sick with Peritonitis which is a mutation of Focv. Unless she receives the only treatment that has life expectancy results she will die. The problem is the treatment called “ GS-441524 “ is 3.000€ (yes, you read it right) and because we love Tokyo and we know how much her owner does as well is that we are not going to let her die without a fight. This drug is experimental and the only treatment “available” for peritonitis (recently discovered and not really out in the market yet) so we want to help her owner get the only treatment that can potentially save Tokyo’s life. Every cent donated will go towards her treatment and updates and bills will be posted.

I always say to the adopters that I’m on call 24/7 since the day they adopt until the end of their cats lives and I will always stick to my word. I rescued this cats and loved them deeply and it’s a commitment that doesn’t end the moment the cat goes to their new home so I’m willing to move heaven on earth to help her save her life. Know that I would do this for each and every single one of my rescues (adopted or being fostered) who need emergency treatment if the owner can’t pay for it. So think that today is Tokyo’s unfortunate’s turn but tomorrow it could be your cat so please consider donating to help save this wonderful girl. EVERY EURO COUNTS so please, pleasseeee share with your love ones so we can reach more people and help sweet Tokyo, there’s no alternative treatment but this one to save her life, she’s 7 months and she has her whole life ahead.

The treatment is experimental but has had a good rate of efficacy and it consists in 80 injections but without this SHE HAS 100% NO CHANCE, there are no alternative treatments for Peritonitis so please, I’m actually begging for help.
Today I’m going to be the first donor of 100€ so please let’s all gather together to safe this sweet girl.
