Memorial/medical bills/coming home with mums ashes

This is the hardest post I have ever made but unfortunately our beloved mother Wendy has passed away. It has come as such a great shock! We are very distraught! Being so far from home has made it even harder.

We have now changed the reason for the GoFund so that all funds raised will go towards outstanding hospital costs, memorial preparations and coming home to Australia with mums remains.

Our beautiful mother Wendy has stage 4 breast cancer, which is very aggressive and she needs treatment asap!

The crazy thing is that she has been the bill of health all her life. Yoga instructor, non-smoker, healthy eater.  That's why this is so unfair!

She has been doing really well the last 2 years living with it and it was only when she came on holiday to the UK to visit friends that her body collapsed and she has been bed-bound in excruciating pain and unable to walk more than a few steps for the last 2 months. She has been far too unwell to fly all the way home to Australia so we have been forced to look for help in Europe and unfortunately, this means we are not covered by Medicare and have to pay for private health care which is extremely expensive we are looking at paying more than $80,000 for five 29 day cycles of treatment which has been the recommended amount . 

Mum has always been wary of western doctors and heavy chemo and has done her best to avoid it and we were unsure what to do until we found this amazing clinic in Germany called Facklinik, Dr. Herzog. Here they do a mixture of infusions of vitamins and nutrients to help mum regain her strength alongside Hyperthermia treatments and low dose chemo to help fight her cancer.  

Even at mum's late-stage, they say they can help her feel better again and we are already seeing progress with mum's level of energy and even the size of the tumor seems to be getting smaller already after just 2 chemo sessions. 

The problem is we can't afford to do the full treatment and this is why we are asking for your help! 

We can not do this alone. Wendy has given her life to helping and guiding others, and we are not ready to lose her yet, she has so much more to give to this world!
