Life Saving Surgery needed for Kitten thrown on freeway
Donation protected
On May 3rd this kitten was thrown from a moving car on the freeway and hit by a Tesla. I am one of a village of people involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of “Curby@, the broken kitten.
A Good Samaritan stopped after seeing Curby get hit and picked him up off the shoulder of freeway. They then called another Good Samaritan to determine options for him to receive immediate medical attention. Then we had to scramble to fund some other Good Samaritans to help with what we knew would be an expensive repair.
Curby’s injuries included a fractured tibia, a complex ileum fracture and two femoral lead fractures. YIKES!!
We found the right medical team for his surgery and started fundraising immediately. Curby had his surgery on May 7th and is resting in the care of a wonderful & generous medical foster.
Good news Update!
Curby is on the mend! he is on restricted bed rest and watching a lot of TV but, his spirits are good (he is the sweetest purr baby) and his medical team is very optimistic about his recovery! ❤️
But, as predicted his medical bills are over $10,000 so far.
We would be so grateful for any and all donations to cover Curby’s life saving surgery. No donations are too small.
