On June 6th Kurt Garcia only 28 years old, married to Mariber with a son named Kobe who is 5 years old tragically suffered a stroke while driving his daily Uber route. He was rushed to the hospital the same day with a severe headache at the rear of his skull and major dizziness. He has been transferred to different hospitals, did a series of CT scans, MRI's, and Cerebral Angiograms. The doctors have found a narrowing of the vein to the brain that caused the stroke.
He is currently in need of expensive life saving emergency medical care and surgery to help save his life. Additionally, Kurt will be kept on medical management for 3 to 6 months and will need blood thinners and other ongoing medications.
His family is overwhelmed with this sudden medical issue, and with the expense of this critical care, hospitalization, likely surgery and rehabilitation. Kurt and his family live in Manila in the Philippines and many of us work with his father Aaron "Jimbo" Garcia in the US.
Below is a picture of his Kurt on the right side in the blue shirt next to his mom "Girlie", dad "Jimbo", his sister Kimberly, and brother Karl.
Our goal is to aim high and raise the funds to reduce the great financial impact the family is facing. This will allow every ounce of the family's energy to go solely towards Kurt's hospitalization, possible surgery, rehabilitation and ongoing care.
