Life Saving Generator for Chaz Baldwin
Donation protected
For everyone that loves and cares about chaz, I am reaching out to you because I just found out that during the last power shut off that there is a huge risk for Chaz, Chaz sleeps in his hyperbaric chamber every night.
During the last power outage our mom and dad will usually see his flashlight moving through the house on his way to his bedroom, well, this last shut off they didn’t see it.
Our mom went over there and let herself in, the alarms were blaring and Chaz was sound asleep, she pounded on the chamber and he still didn’t wake up, then she opened the valve that will let the air out, that noise finally woke him up.
My mom and I talk almost everyday, after the power shut off she called me the next day and explained to me what had happened the night before, she was so upset and I was shocked as I listened to her tell me the story, the fear in her voice was heartbreaking.
When the power goes out because of PG&E safety shut offs or because of an accident, the pumps that run Chaz’s chamber shut off and there is no fresh air going in, without the pumps pushing the air into the chamber, and because the chamber is airtight there is a risk of suffocation, this is an absolute nightmare situation were Chaz could die in his sleep.
I have done some research and if we can raise the money for a Generac Generator Chaz will no longer be at risk of suffocation. This generator would automatically turn on when the power goes out. This would be a literal life saving measure for Chaz. I can’t imagine how our mom sleeps at night. The Generac Generator that is needed for Chaz is approximately 7 to 9 thousand dollars, then the installation would be approximately 4 to 5 thousand dollars, I am hoping to raise $15 thousand to cover all expenses for the generator, install and the propane to run it when the power goes out. You all have been so supportive of my brother since his accident, if you could please find it your heart to help him out again our entire family and Chaz would appreciate it so much, any amount will help, and please share, love to you all Elizabeth aka lil bit
