Hi,

We are Edgardo's Elite: a Boxing, Muay Thai and K1 Gym based on Telford Way, Severalls Industrial Estate, Colchester. We are trying to raise £960.00 to install a potential life saving defibrillator outside our premises.

For every minute that someone’s in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR and having a defibrillator used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%. That’s why it’s so important to us that we have one outside our gym, for anybody to use - although we are hoping that nobody ever has to use it.

A defibrillator gives a jolt of energy to the heart, which can help restore the heart’s rhythm, and get it beating normally again. This simple piece of equipment is easy to use and doesn’t require training, but it could make the difference between life and death.

We are raising funds to have this valuable piece of equipment on the outside of our gates, making it accessible to anyone from our gym, as well as neighbouring businesses and the general public.

We would rather have peace of mind knowing we have one, than potentially needing it one day, and not having one close by.

Anything you, your business or your workplace can donate can help us towards our target. Once we have raised the funds to purchase a defibrillator from London Hearts, anything over our intended raised funds will go towards a charity (which will be decided once we have raised the funds).
