Life saving Equipment Drive

On July 12th, 2025, the Chadwick Bay Softball 12U team was competing in a tournament just like any other weekend at fields all across the country. However, this particular Saturday will be one that no one involved will soon forget. In the late innings of a game, the home plate umpire had a serious medical event.
Had it not been for the quick reactions and response of a Chadwick Bay parent, the situation could have been catastrophic. This parent jumped in and administered life-saving first aid and CPR in the dugout while waiting for EMS to arrive. Her reactions saved a life on this Saturday afternoon.
We are blessed that all involved survived the day, and all the girls at the tournament learned a lesson of heroics and being trained, not one of tragedy. We are also lucky that we are going to welcome both involved parties to open our 2025 Chadwick Bay Softball Tournament. In honor of this event, we are attempting to raise money to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the Dunkirk Little League Program that will be donated in the names of those involved.
We are seeking the support of the local softball community, especially those that have enjoyed our program, to help secure valuable life-saving equipment. Thank you, and if you haven't and have a free weekend, take a CPR course.
