LIFE SAVING CANCER SURGERY for Julie Davidson

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Generous Others:

 

My name is Bette Gigliotti, and my good friend, Julie Davidson, was recently diagnosed with Peritoneal Mesothelioma - a VERY RARE form of Cancer. She will be traveling to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for the third time in 3 months! On June 17, she will be having major surgery and will be in Houston for a month! All of this is happening VERY fast.

 

Julie's medical and other expenses are piling up. This procedure will be her FIFTH surgery since January when, through genetic testing, Julie learned that she had the BRCA-1 gene. After recovering from COVID in early January, she proactively had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. In April, she had a double Mastectomy - to mitigate breast and ovarian cancer risk. Her doctors found this rare cancer during her surgery. Thank goodness they found it. We took off to Houston in May and just received the NEWS that she has Peritoneal Mesothelioma and needs this Major Surgery ASAP.  Julie's cancer is serious, and we are hoping that through this surgery, she will be able to live a long life!

 

Julie is a resident of Fairfield and was previously a member of my real estate group, The Gigliotti Group at William Raveis. She adores this community which welcomed her with open arms back in the Summer of 2020. Julie's real estate career was about to take off -- when she received her BRCA-1 news.

 

Julie has been unable to work since January and could use all the support you can offer. No donation is too small.

The funds will be used for day-to-day expenses, medical expenses, traveling to and from Houston, mortgage expenses, food and any other expenses that pop up while she is in recovery!

 

I would appreciate your support. I can't even imagine what Julie is going through. Worrying about your life is very

difficult enough to handle, but having to worry about losing your home and how to make ends meet is way too much!!

I want her to concentrate on healing!!
