Life saved, bills unpaid-help Michael after bypass

On July 22, Michael went in for an angioplasty to correct a "minor defect" which turned out to be a major, life threatening blockage and required an emergency triple bypass surgery the next morning.
Michael suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis, a painful disease that forced him into an early retirement. His monthly disability checks barely cover the cost of living expenses plus the added cost of medications. After the bypass, these costs have only increased, making it impossible to not fall behind with bills.
Michael is getting overloaded with medical equipment, prescriptions and copay charges right now. These costs add up quickly and have become overwhelming already. While Michael is doing very well in his physical recovery, there was no time for him to plan financially, even though those options would have been limited. It is hard to know how much money the family may need, as the hospital bills haven't even come in yet.
Some examples of the expenses that need to be paid include:
-Copay for the angioplasty
-Copay for prescriptions and doctor visits
-Hospital bed rental to prevent sleepwalking and falling
-Medical equipment
-Dental work as prescribed by the cardiologist to help prevent bacterial infections
-ICU bills and surgery copays
-Stocking the refrigerator with healthy food
