Life Quality Transportation For My Brother Anthony
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
I'd like to start by introducing myself. My name is Sarah and I have this bold idea to try and help my brother on to a better quality of life. My brother's name is Anthony. He is 23 years old, and has a very vibrant personality. Anthony has always been the one to make the family laugh. Unfortunately, a few years ago Anthony was in a tragic car accident. In this accident his friend, the driver, had passed away, survived by his four friends in the car. This accident left Anthony with a broken spinal cord, and now paralyzed from the bottom of his neck to his toes. The moment that happened, his entire life changed. He was 17 and ready to take on the world. He had a scholarship to college for football. I just KNOW he was going to be something incredible for this world. Due to this accident, he did not get to walk across the stage. He did not get to go to prom. He did not get to go to college. Instead, he got to lay in a bed ever since.
My brother deserves to have the highest quality of life he has left. Right now the only trips he gets are back and fourth to the hospital. That is not any type of life that anyone should have. I would like him to be able to go wherever he would like, whenever he would like. That's where my idea came to start this fund raiser. I would like to get him a brand new disability accessible van. In addition, I would like to get him a new hospital bed and a new wheelchair that fits his larger weight. He has his wheelchair and bed from the beginning of all of this from 6 years ago. He has been on bed rest since, so naturally he has gained weight. I want him to be comfortable from the start of his day in bed, to the rest of his day if/when he is out and about.
I know this is a lot of money. I know this might sound like a crazy situation, but I've exhausted all my other options, and now... I just am asking for help from whoever can. I love my brother more than words can express, and I would put myself out there for him time and time again. I'm not telling my mother that I'm doing this for them, so please if you know any of my immediate family, DO NOT TELL THEM! I don't want to get their hopes up if I can not reach the goal, also... they like to be humble and not ask for help.
I appreciate you all for reading and showing interest in my story. Anything will help! Rest assured, all money will go straight to this cause. Thank you all.
