Dungeness Valley Creamery is an open door raw dairy ran by Ryan and Sarah McCarthey, a young family, here in the dungeness valley of Sequim, WA. All though this is a local farm, their products are on shelves All Over the Pacific NW. Local and sustainable farming is vital to our local economies as well as regional food security! We must continue to lift up and support our local farmers.
On April 9th, they were notified by the USDA lab that one of their (expired) milk samples was contaminated. After which they sent out a voluntary recall of all their milk. This has cost this young family $10k-$15k of revenue. As a community let's band together and help them recover quickly!
This dairy is the finest example of true community farming. This family is a shining example of hard work and dedication to healthy living. What an shining example of perseverance, dedication to hard work and stewardship they set for their young boys. Dungeness Valley Creamery has an open door environment, encouraging visitors to explore their milking parlor, walk through and pet the cows in the barns. You can love all over the baby calves and roam the fields with the grazing ladies. Together we celebrate new calves and seek suggestions in naming every baby born. We jump for joy with the "Ladies" as they kick up their heals when they get turned out to pasture each spring.
