Life Line for Randy
Donation protected
Randy, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, was looking forward to this years hunt as he finally drew a big bull tag at the Expo after a couple of decades of waiting and trying. He enlisted friends and family members to prepare and work at setting it up...making this event of his a shared family event for everyone, as all were often welcome! Unfortunately, Monday morning he was found near lifeless in his home for an undetermined amount of hours. He was life flighted to the University of Utah Medical center where he has been in the ICU, undergoing surgery after surgery to try and dislodge a huge brain clot. Although the doctors efforts were valiant, they were unable to remove the clot. He is paralyzed on his left side. He can't speak and he is suffering. As in every case of a massive stroke, this was sudden and unexpected. He had just retired last year to spend more time with family and his passion of hunting. His wife had recently and finally finished her last chemo and radiation treatments and they were looking forward to a promising future full of life, family and church service. We started this GoFundMe page to help their family focus on healing and try to manage the emotional rollercoaster that comes from an event like this. The money raised will hopefully cover current hospital bills, and if we are lucky, what may be needed to continue to recover at home. Anything you can give (even if only a few dollars) would be greatly appreciated. Randy always included everyone, quick with laughter, helpful, serviceable and energetic. He would be the first to help, the first to smile when you arrived and the first to make sure you were welcomed. He would give you the shirt off his back and go without. Help us help this family focus on his healing and remove the financial stress. Thank you so much!
