Hi my name is Amanda, My dad is turning 60 this year (sorry to out you, Grandpa), but life is precious and he’s been blessed to make it this far. Just last week, we almost lost him after a massive heart attack. By God’s grace, he’s still here with us — and if you know my dad, you’ll understand when I say: God must’ve thought, “let’s give this pain in the ass another shot.”
If you’ve met my dad, you probably know him as the softball coach who never quits (or quits, then jumps right back in again). He’s been coaching for almost 30 years — helping young ladies chase their dreams, earn scholarships, and step onto college fields. He never did it for money. He did it because he loves the game and believes in the kids.
But to us, he’s more than a coach. He’s Dad. He’s Grandpa. He’s Papa to 7 grandbabies who adore him.
Right now, he’s facing a long road to recovery. He’s already gone through two heart procedures, with a third coming soon to implant a pacemaker. Cardiac rehabilitation will take at least 12–18 weeks. That means he won’t be able to run his plumbing business — his livelihood — during this time.
And while my dad may be a stubborn pain in the ass (and we wouldn’t trade him for the world), he is also a giving man with a heart of gold. He’s poured decades of time, energy, and love into others — and now he’s the one who needs support.
If you’d like to help relieve some of his stress, any contribution toward his hospital bills and living expenses would mean the world to our family. Your generosity will help him focus on healing, instead of worrying about the burden this has placed on him.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the prayers, love, and support. ❤️
