Hello Everyone!
Before I start this story, I would personally like to say thank you to everyone that finds it in their hearts to donate and help fulfill one last dream for Kamarae Weddington. She truly was a phenomenal woman and a wonderful mother! This go fund me page will allow her family to fulfill a dying wish of hers to be buried in a pod and come back as a tree full of life. The shade and beauty provided by her tree will allow her family & friends to always remember her strength and kindness.
It is so sad at such a young age (51) that Kamarae lost her battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Her fight to save her life had truly been a testament to her everlasting strength and perseverance. On her 50th Birthday Kammi was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer. As you can imagine this was devastating news for her and her family to bear, especially given the timing. However, even with the grim news on what was suppose to be a very special birthday for anyone, she continued to be strong and didn't want her loved ones to treat her any different or feel remorse.
Kamarae did her best to stay healthy. She seldom drank, ate healthy, exercised, and never smoked. Her strength started at a very young age as a mother. Kammi had her first child at the age of 15. Unlike most 15 year olds, Kammi was committed to provide a better life for her and her child. Her courage to leave home and put her child first with so many obstacles to over come at such a young age is simply remarkable. Kammi's efforts paid off. She now leaves behind 2 wonderful kids. One has 3 kids of his own with a successful career in law enforcement, and the other is going to San Diego State studying business and economics.
Kamarae is one of those people that is not only caring and compassionate, but will tell you the truth no matter the circumstances. In all regards her admiration comes from truly being a real person, a dying breed in todays world. She was intelligent, loyal, and always went out of her ways to help others, even people that didn't have her best interests at heart. In her short life, she touched so many people's hearts in a positive way. I pray she finds true happiness in heaven, as in my mind she deserves it more than anyone could. Again, I thank all of you for taking the time to read this brief description about a truly beautiful person, and for your support to help us achieve Kamarae Weddington's last wishes.
