Life for Brian

In the early days of 2019, my family and I received news that no one is ever prepared to hear.  Dad has lung cancer.  It can be treated but unfortunately it is not curable.  As we process the difficult road that lies ahead, our focus will be on giving him the highest possible quality of life and ensuring that we have as much time as we can with the man that gave us life and helped shape our world. 


Dad has Medicare, and we are thankful for that.  Unfortunately, the plans associated with retirees do not cover prescriptions and will leave twenty percent of all procedures and hospitalizations to be paid for. 


As you may know, the costs associated with treating advanced cancers are extremely high and after one week these are already starting to add up.  Dad never had a lot of money, but what he did have he readily gave to those around him and those less fortunate, especially his children.  Now its our turn to give back to him. 


All of the funds raised here will go directly to purchasing prescription drugs as well as paying for hospitalizations (one week so far), chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and making sure Dad is as comfortable as possible.
