Life expenses while Dad is dying/after he passes

This is the only acceptable picture I have of my college roommate Cam, but here is his issue:
His dad was recently diagnosed with extensive cancer, in his throat and  through his body.
His father holds almost all of the financial burden of the family. As of now, he is unable to provide .Consequently, Cam's family will most likely have to sell their house and move, and Cam and his siblings will likely have to drop out of college.
I'm hoping to raise any amount of money for my friend, just to help the family get by until they can get their finances in order and as they grieve his father's passing.
Cam has been an amazing friend to me. He is more genuine and kind than most of the people I've met in my life , and I hope he is rewarded.
