Life & Debt: The Angel Investors Fund
Don protégé
Welcome to Life & Debt: The Angel Investors Fund
(formally known as the @LifeandTrustRelief Venmo)
We've officially centralized all donations for Life & Trust mutual aid into one place.
Because when the Trust fell, the angels stepped in.
On Sunday, April 20, 2025, the immersive production Life and Trust came to a sudden and heartbreaking close, with no warning, no severance, and no safety net for the people who built the world night after night.
This fund was created for the entire Life and Trust company: performers, stage managers, crew, GAs, and everyone behind the curtain who poured their souls into making it real.
Thanks to a group of passionate supporters (some of whom may technically qualify as Angel Investors, and others who are emotionally invested, immersive theatergoers), we’ve launched this GoFundMe for continued support to help our people land on their feet.
Where the Money Goes:
All donations go directly to Life and Trust company members who:
- Lost their income when the show shut down
- Are experiencing financial hardship (rent, bills, food, etc.)
- Need short-term support to stay afloat while seeking new work
- We’ve created a secure internal process (with a confidential request form) to distribute funds fairly, privately, and equitably, prioritizing those with the most urgent needs.
Why We’re Doing This:
This isn’t about revenge or drama. It’s about care, solidarity, and doing what the production itself didn’t.
We're a community looking out for one another.
We believe in radical mutual aid, a little bit of satire, and a whole lot of heart. So if you loved the show—or the people in it—consider becoming one of our Angel Investors.
"You used to pay the devil's rent. Now you're helping the souls he left behind."
Thank You. We’ll post updates as we distribute funds. Transparency and gratitude are central to our operation.
If you can give, thank you. If you can share, thank you. And if you're one of us, know that we’ve got you.
My name is Kai Liebenstein and my partner, Aaron Dalla Villa, and I are members of the impacted community of Life & Trust. We created this fundraiser to directly support our fellow cast, crew, and creative team members affected by the sudden closure of the show.
The funds raised will be used to cover urgent needs including rent, groceries, medical expenses, visa-related costs, and other critical living expenses.
We are managing the funds personally and distributing them via direct transfers using Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. Individuals in need have completed a request form, and distribution is prioritized to the most urgent cases first (e.g., visa holders, medical emergencies).
We are committed to full transparency and will continue to post updates on fund distribution.
Note: The organizers of this campaign were also impacted by the shutdown and may request support through the same internal application process as all other company members. All fund distribution is managed transparently and fairly.
