Life changing treatment for Cervical Cancer

Donation protected
Hey all, I don’t know how to write this, so let me tell you a little bit about me and what I’m going through.

So I’m Kirsty I’m 27 years old, I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer on the 7th of May 2019, the last few months have been the hardest and worst few months of my life.

This was was my first smear test, after numerous hospital visits and examinations, having a LETTZ procedure It was after this I was told it was Cervical Cancer,  i decided to share my storey on Facebook to try and prevent anyone else going through this disgusting journey, I was happy that I made a difference to people and gave them the nudge they needed to go and get their smears done, made me feel as though ide done some good!

Since being diagnosed I’ve had so many knock backs, being told that treatment will stop me from ever being able to carry my own child, out of everything I have been told this has been the worst for me, as if my womenhood has been ripped away from me, not only this my consultants have also told me that from treatment there is a massive chance that I will go into an early menopause

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/menopause/

Here is more info about the menopause for those who don’t know anything about it, for me to go into an early menopause would have a significant impact on the rest of my life (read more in link)

My Mam and I have done research into what can do to prevent me going into early menopause,
(Me & Mum)

There is a treatment in London that will remove ovarian tissue and cryopreserve it until Radio, Chemo and Brachytherapy are all over and reattach it to resume normal hormone function which will be LIFE CHANGING!

At the moment this treatment is only available on the NHS in London areas and not in Wales!

I absolutely hate feeling like I am begging but I do need Help,

The treatment in London is going to cost thousands and I don’t have thousands, so if anyone could help I would be forever grateful and it would genuinely change the rest of my life.

I am coming terms with being unable to carry my own child, but to go through the Menopause and feel like an old woman in a 27 year old body will ruin me.

I would be so so so great full for any help and any shares on my story!

Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to read this and I appreciate all help.

After being given and estimate of £7000 for the procedure this unfortunately does not include reattaching the ovary which will cost thousands more but not had a final figure for the second procedure yet.  This feels like a massive blow after what has been a great first day of fundraising.

This is part art of the email I have been sent from the London free hospital.
