Life changing surgery needed for a dog in rescue

Some of you may know Nina’s story, many won’t..
Nina came into Colchester k9 rescue before Christmas via the dog wardens after she was abandoned and ended up in the stray dog pound.
Nina came in with sore skin, itchy eyes and unknown to us and the wardens she was also pregnant! By the time we noticed this poor girl was pregnant it was far too late for the dedicated vet team to do anything about it, we where all so worried about Nina as her breathing is terrible and she’s had so many litter before, her body is tired, her undercarriage drags the ground many people helped us raise the funds to get Nina a c section as a natural labour was absolutely not possible for this girl and a huge risk to her life.
ninas babies where born but she suffererd milk fever and needed a lot of assistance to help her with her babies she was so desperate to be their mum, Ninas babies have been placed in adoptive homes now we are able to get Nina’s health care plan underway, things we couldn’t do whilst she was pregnant of so soon after going through a section. Nina‘s hormones have been all over the place she has suffered skin infections so we’ve taken time to stabilise her and make her comfortable under veterinary care the entire time.. It’s been very clear from day one that Nina has something going on with her eyes and definitely struggles like most bulldogs do with their breathing. The steps we need to take for Nina is to have double entropian surgery and a full BOAS surgery so this girl can do normal dog activities without restricted breathing and struggling. The warmer weather will soon be approaching where Nina will struggle with the heat, we really need to get this girl booked in to the vet vets for her surgery and give her the surgery she needs to be comfortable and have the life of a normal dog ❤️
Nina‘s eyes irritate her so much she scratches at them often throughout the day, even though she’s being medically treated to make her comfortable her eyelids scratch her eyeballs this is incredibly uncomfortable and irritating, vets have advised she has surgery go remove some skin and stop her lashes rubbing her eyes, left this causes damage to the eyes including ulcers, cataracts and other avoidable damage to the eyes.
Nina is currently in Foster home who is being very supportive for her and taking care of all her needs medically, but there’s only so much we can do, now it’s time to get her surgically corrected to make sure Nina has a comfortable and happy future ahead of her after being let down by so many humans before being used as a breeding machine
We need to raise £1200 to get Nina booked in for her surgery. This will help to cover some of the costs both these surgeries are quite specialised and are very costly and we really need your help and support to give this sweet girl the life she deserves
