Life changing surgery for Ede

Over the years the disease has progressed from not being able to run, to using a cane, then a walker, and finally a wheelchair. She has tried everything from traditional medicine to natural remedies and even stem cell therapy all to no avail. 

She is unable to take care of herself and has to have a caregiver assisting her at all times. She and her husband Jim have worked incredibly hard to make their house more handicap accessible and this has come at a great financial burdens. The expenses for her care and equipment have become out of control and unmanageable. 

Last year she broke her leg and has needed surgery since. For just as long she also needs a surgery for a prolapse. Due to covid and financial problems she has been unable to get these surgeries taken care of and has had a broken leg and prolapse issue for over a year adding alot of pain to already serious medical issues. 

To get these surgeries done she has to go to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and again will require caregivers to travel with her. She has been blessed enough to find a pilot willing to fly her but will still have to cover all the collateral costs of travel and the fuel for the airplane. Her insurance only covers 80 percent of the medical procedures. She is unable to afford these extra costs and is hoping you can help.

She also needs a new wheel chair that is more advanced and will help her make movements that a traditional wheel chair cannot accomplish and unfortunately her insurance will not cover the costs of the wheel chair that she needs.  She also needs a new bed that will raise her feet and turn her which will be vital after surgery.
