Life Changing Opportunity - Mix With The Masters

Donation protected
Hey friends and family!

I am so excited to announce that I have been accepted to attend the Mix with the Masters week-long seminar in the South of France! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am so grateful that they saw potential in me and accepted my application- They only accept about 15 people!

This seminar is hosted by some of the best mixing engineers in the world. Leslie Brathwaite will host the one I’m attending, a Grammy award-winning mixing engineer who has worked with artists like Cardi B, Pharrell, Chris Brown, Akon and Pitbull… to name a few! The seminar includes a series of discussions and demonstrations about music production, engineering and mixing while also offering career advice. During this week, I will work directly with Mr Brathwaite as we dive deeper into mixing audio at a master’s level.

Music has always felt special to me; however, I didn’t grow up in a musical family. Growing up, sports were the main focus in my household, and It wasn’t until I reached the age of 12 that I knew my love for music was special, and it guided me in a direction where I wanted to explore deeper. For my 13th birthday, I begged my parents for a DJ Controller, and that's when everything changed for me. I spent countless hours learning how to mix one song into the other and soon became obsessed. It was my escape. Soon after I gained confidence DJing, I then set out to start freelancing, and the journey became real. 2 years after learning the ropes, I was told by a friend to download this music production software called Ableton - this was the beginning of my love for production and later engineering. I didn’t grow up playing any instruments, so my music theory knowledge was close to nothing. I dedicated countless hours to watching youtube videos and taking production lessons to learn the craft. There were many years of me just experimenting with the software, trying to mimic the production of some of my favourite songs. This helped me learn more about song structure and music theory.

When I was 18, I was accepted into the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts). 2 years later, I graduated with a Bachelor's In Audio Engineering. Once I completed my degree, I became a freelance Music Producer / Sound Engineer. Fast forward to today, I have had the opportunity to record, produce and engineer some of the best artists in Melbourne: Rini, Agung Mango, Soli, ZUHAIR, Olivia Escuyos, NOMAD, and George Myer, among many others. Now I get the opportunity to do what I love day in and day out, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I will continuously pursue education and knowledge to be the best I can be in the music industry. My goal is to produce, mix and master music at the highest level and represent Australia on the global stage. I believe this seminar is the next big step to reaching my goal.

Here’s where I need your help! The total cost for the seminar is 4,200 euros. This equates to $5,900 AUS dollars. This does NOT include the flight to Europe and back, the round trip train rides nor the hostels for the day before and after the seminar. I have already paid an $800 euro ($1,180 AUS) nonrefundable deposit to hold my spot. I still owe 3,400 euros for the seminar alone (about $5,000 AUS).

Attending this seminar would mean the world to me, so if you are in a position to donate, any contribution would mean a lot. I need to raise funds by the 29th of August, so we have about five weeks!! Please help me make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality and help me achieve my goals. I love you all very much! Thank you.
