To all our friends and family of both the Elkan family and all our Newcastle Screen Co. family.  On the morning of Saturday November 6, 2021 at 3:28am I received the worst call of my life…It was Folsum Police letting me know if I was any relation to Trenton David Elkan that in needed to get to Sutter hospital in Roseville emergency center for my son who was thrown from his car in a single car accident and it was time sensitive and life threatening.   He’s now been on life support and in a semi- vegetative state now on day 49 Christmas Eve 2021.  For the first 36 days I was the only person that he would respond to in the ICU at the  hospital. They tried everything for someone in that  condition trying for any response .  We were  told in the emergency room that he isn’t expected to make it through the night with all his injuries and the list was unbelievably long starting with two broken legs, crushed knee, lacerated liver and spleen broken skull severe mid  brain damage broken nose , bones in his face, crushed wrist and broken thumb along with a compound fracture on his left arm the two top vertebrae and a broken skull.  Both my wife Jennifer and myself have been at the hospital everyday since and we’re now at the third hospital since the accident having to travel as far as Vacaville.  As anyone who has experienced any tragedy like this if you’re not there around the clock things don’t always happen the way you would like or think they should.  We are now at Kaiser Medical Center with the best possible people in the neurological field. These people are the kindest most caring group of professionals I’ve ever seen. It would be unthinkable what or where we’d be at this time if we weren’t there. Now with bills and not able to be at two places at once we’ve chosen to be at the hospital 12-18 hours a day doing whatever we can to help KAISER bring back our only son who turns 24  on January 16, 2022 With owning a small screen and awning business I’ve not been able to work and with my wife as a flight attendant she hasn’t worked either.  Praying for one large miracle  to take place.  Even with that we will have years of rehabilitation and physical therapy and that would be fine just to have him back in any form with best case being 60-80% of our son Trenton....ANY DONATIONS THAT COULD HELP US  SPEND AS MUCH TIME AND TRAVEL AS NEEDED WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND WILL BE GREATLY  APPRECIATED FOR ANYTHING THAT COULD  HELP AT THIS TIME  TO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THIS HUGE TASK  THANK YOU…!!! httpsK://[email redacted]
