“Life Changed in an Instant-Allisons Recovery Fund”
Donation protected

On Wednesday, April 30th at approximately 6:30 pm, Allison, the teachers assistant for the special needs preschool program at Alston-Bailey Elementary, was on her way to church when she was going around a curve and hit a tree dead on. All we know at this point is she has 5 broken ribs, 3 fractured vertebrae in her neck, a bruised lung, and a fractured sternum. Thursday morning, she underwent surgery to repair a tear in her intestines that did not show up in the original CT scan in the ER Wednesday night. The doctors wanted and still want to give Allison an MRI but are unable to due to Allison having a machine in her back from a previous medical condition. We aren’t sure of the extent of her injuries to her ankle that was crushed on impact from the foot pedal. She is far from going home but trying to stay as positive every day as much as possible during this process.
We appreciate everyone’s love, support, and prayers as she begins this very long road to her recovery. While she is in the hospital, Jason, Melody, and Alison are going to keep Gabriel in his same routine as we know that would be Allison’s number one priority.
