Life becomes better when there is one less person in sorrow.
Hello everyone,
This is my first time organizing a fundraising campaign for a child from my hometown in Vietnam. During my visit home last Tet holiday, I came across the heartbreaking story of this little boy, and it truly touched my heart. Despite all our efforts and the support from kind people in Vietnam, the amount raised so far is still not enough to cover his medical expenses.
About the child:
• His name is Nguyen Huynh Thanh Trung (born May 7, 2015). His parents are Thanh Phuc and Thanh Kieu.
• From birth, Trung has been blind and, more painfully, both of his feet are severely deformed, making him unable to walk like other children.
• His family is classified as a low-income household by the government (official documentation provided below).
• Years ago, his parents had to leave their hometown for Dong Nai Province, renting a small room and taking on various jobs to earn money for Trung’s treatments.
Current situation:
• Trung has been examined multiple times at Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital.
• The doctors have outlined a treatment plan that requires him to undergo four major surgeries and several years of physical therapy to hopefully regain mobility.
• He recently underwent his first surgery and continues to bravely endure the pain, holding on to the hope of one day being able to walk on his own.
Fundraising details:
• I will personally take responsibility for transferring the funds to Trung’s family in Vietnam.
• 100% of the donations will be used for surgery fees, hospital bills, medication, living expenses, and transportation for follow-up visits.
• All receipts and expenses will be documented transparently and supervised by a third party.
Thank you all so much for your kindness and support. If you would like to help, please share this post so more people can know about Trung’s journey.
