Life after tragic loss

Donation protected
As the sun rose on the early morning of August 7th, 2019, Linda and Mike DeLoach awoke in their home to discover that their beloved and only son had taken his own life.

Frank DeLoach was a hard and loyal worker. Selfless and considerate, he was raised to be honest; to earn respect by giving respect to others; to give a hand and help those in need...he was always neighborly.

You know that first person you call when you need help moving, your car is making weird noises, the clothes dryer isn’t drying, or you want company watching a football game? That was Frank… and he always showed up.

Frank was always the apple of his mom’s eye, and Linda was fortunate that he was always close by. They’d been through a lot together. Life wasn’t easy in their family, but they busted their humps and made ends meet, together. In fact, it was a volatile environment for mom and son in the initial years. With the protection Frank paramount, Linda successfully fled from an increasingly dangerous relationship early on.

Eventually, they met Mike, and it was evident that they’d been missing a dearly valued piece to their family. Frank eventually became the backbone to the aluminum & screening business he operated with his dad and partner, Mike, for 25+ years, who adopted him at the age of 4. Their bond was forever inseparable and true.

You’d be hard-pressed to cite a conversation when mom or dad weren’t referring to something Frank had done or accomplished – not in a bragging fashion, but simply parents whose son was constantly on their minds, and whose son happened to inherently make himself available to someone or something in need. It wasn’t irritating… Everyone loved Frank, and with good reason.

The DeLoach family has been through a series of notable and rattling losses in recent years.

Craig DeLoach, Mike’s brother and Frank’s uncle passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from esophageal cancer at the end of 2015. Frank and Craig were incredibly close.

Lewis DeLoach, Frank’s grandpa, and the loving patriarch of the family died in 2016.

This recent, and sudden loss has shaken Frank’s parents to their very core. They’ve been completely upended and can’t land. Nothing makes sense. Nothing feels safe. They feel numb and stranded. They simply do not know what to do.

Their income relies exclusively on the money generated from the family business, which just shattered. There are jobs to do, but that can’t be completed at this time. There are many expenses, both prior to the suicide, and now death-related.

Mike and Linda need help, urgently. This fundraiser has been created solely and lovingly to provide that help, so they can get on their feet during this fog, and that they could possibly put a fear or two to rest.
