Life after a double foot amputation.

Most of you can’t imagine losing both of your feet and having to figure out how to go about your life in a completely new way.

This is our nephew’s story. He is managing it with grace and strength.

 

You may or may not know Niyaz, he is a guy with a big heart and a lot of energy. He recently had a bad night out, took a fall, almost froze to death and by the grace of God did not die. The first couple of days were touch and go, he came out of the coma, but both of his feet had 4th degree frostbite on them. The doctors tried to save them but on Friday, Niyaz had both of his feet amputated.

 

Niyaz will head home, in 2-3 weeks and needs to get ready for life without feet. Niyaz wants his independence back quickly and wants to get back to work. For this to happen, we need to pay for renovations to his home. We have connected with the Lion’s Club and they are helping but we need enough money for materials. Niyaz also needs money for prosthetics, possibly a scooter and a chair lift so he can get around his house. His home only has a shower on the 2nd floor, but they are going to make this work!

 

Niyaz is grateful for all the support he has received so far and is looking forward to getting back home!
