Liezel-Marie's Archery Journey

Hi, my name is Liezel-Marie Roux and I am fundraising to help cover the costs of equipment as well as transport and accomodation for traveling to International and National Archery competitions.

I am 15 and have been shooting for 8 years, starting with recurve when I was age 7 and then with compound at age 9. I shot my first competition in October 2017 and fell absolutely in love with it. I participated in as many competitions as I could and quickly went up the national list.

I currently hold 29 State and 7 National records and I have just returned from competing in Ireland, representing Australia at the World Archery Youth Championship where I needed to shoot up an age category and compete as an U18 archer. As I am sure you can imagine an international trip is not only extremely exciting but also very expensive. I am now currently looking towards the next World Archery Youth Championship to be held in Canada in 2025. I am also in training with the Olympic recurve bow aiming to compete on the Olympic stage in 2028 and 2032.

For my training I need to compete in as many national and international competitions as possible in order to train under these competitive conditions. Any support and help you can give would make a big difference.
