Lieutenant Bill Shiflett

My name is Jamie, I am Lieutenant Billy Shiflett’s niece. Billy was shot in the line of duty in July of 2019 and is now back in Shock Trauma with complications from the shooting. We are being told that he will remain in there until they are able to do surgery, but unfortunately, he has other things going on that need to be treated before he can have surgery. In addition to being a Lieutenant in Baltimore City Bill is a husband and father of two girls who also have ongoing health issues. Bill is the sole provider for his family as his wife Cheryl takes care of his two girls. On Friday September 16th his oldest daughter Madison was in a car accident and was also being treated at University of Maryland. When it rains it pours! Bill works long hours to support his family and never asks for help, but I am asking on his behalf. They are going to have a lot of expenses over the next few months and will now be relying on his base salary to cover their bills and those additional expenses.
