I'm Lidell's husband Gary and I met the love of my life, Lidell, 39 years ago.  She deeply loved and cared for her family as well as her other "family",  the students she felt fortunate to get to know over the years.  Lidell, a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Masters in education and member of  Pi Lambda Theta, an education honor association, could have taught anywhere at any level but had a powerful calling to educate and positively influence young minds most in need and at the high school level.  Lidell really and truly strived for her students' success; she loved every one of her “kids”, and tried to continue working as a Director of Education even after her tragic diagnosis of cancer on July 24, 2016.  We spoke frequently about her retiring but she wasn't finished and she wanted to continue her true purpose in life which was teaching.  She didn't get to finish on her terms and you can help continue her legacy by contributing money to a scholarship fund which will be used to directly assist graduates from Premier High School  www.premierhighschool.com in pursuing post-secondary education.  These kids deserve every chance...I know Lidell thought so.
