Liddy has cancer and wants to go places!

Hi! My name is Liddy. I have Stage IV, metastatic breast cancer with liver and bone lesions, but that’s not what’s most interesting about me. I’m also a writer, a care worker, a doula, a daughter, a sister, and a friend.

And, I hope, a traveler.

Let’s be honest: life is shorter than any of us would want it to be. While I’m here, and while my cells cooperate, I’d like to experience the fullness of what the world has to offer.

I’d like to travel to some of the following places…

That’s where you come in. I’d really like to be able to travel with family, but I’d also like to be able to afford travel with friends who, like me before my diagnosis, have to spend most of our income, mostly, on rent, utilities, and Trader Joe’s snacks.

Please feel no pressure or obligation to contribute. If you instead want to tell me about a remarkable trip you took, I am all ears.

I have been stunned and awed by how generous people have been with my family and me since my diagnosis. I do not take for granted this love and support—I thank God daily for our community.
