Small library on the Amazon River
Donation protected

I'm heading for Peru again, for my fourth visit!
Please take a look at my latest update to see how much help I need here in the last few weeks before I leave! I need you!
This small library on the Amazon River in Peru serves up to 40 children who come after school for reading and fun learning activities. There is only solar generated electrical power, so no lights, but enough power for a few computers and to charge the e-readers I brought them last year.
I am a former school library media specialist in Florida. I go to the library each fall for three weeks. I bring as many books and other learning materials as I can carry, as shipping is very expensive. Any money you donate will go toward purchasing these materials, I pay my own airfare and housing.
I will be leaving the US in mid October, so I would appreciate donations by October 10.
The children of the library, their families, and the library staff will appreciate your donation to improve their literacy and love of reading.
