Can you imagine not having a single public library in an entire country? Well, there are still no modern public libraries in Liberia. With your help, we want to change that! Will you join us to make history and build the FIRST MODERN PUBLIC LIBRARY in Liberia?
Liberia, Africa's first republic founded in 1822 to resettle freed black men and women from the United States and Caribbean, is still recovery from a brutal 15 year civil war and recent Ebola epedemic that left it the 4th poorest country in the world. With millions of people living in poverty, access to modern public libraries will provide a vital source of education and self empowerment to the masses.
As the late Walter Cronkite once famously stated, "whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation". We certainly agree and invite YOU to give the gift of a library to a nation in need today!
With your generous and compassionate donation, we will be able to complete Phase II of the library construction underway in Gbarnga, Bong County. Please join us and be a part of this historical journey AND SPREAD THE WORD!
