Libraries for Liberation

Donation protected
Libraries for Liberation distributes books that center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and raise awareness of systemic racism to neighborhoods across the United States. We purchase books from BIPOC-owned bookstores, and distribute them to Little Free Libraries through a network of volunteers. We hope the books that we distribute will facilitate community conversations that lead to connection, healing, and liberatory action.

As Mario Quintana said, “Books don’t change the world; people change the world. Books only change people.” We believe in the transformational power of education, and we want to ensure that conversations about systemic racism and inequality persist.

We also know that every movement needs funding to be sustainable; that is why we are asking for your financial support. Whether yours is a $10 donation or a larger gift, 100% of your donation goes to getting books that center the experiences of BIPOC into the hands of readers and activists of all ages across the United States.

All donors will receive a letter of acknowledgement of their donation.
