As we approach the festive season, some of the Liberty Wines team thought that instead of running to the fridge to open some fizz, we’d go one step further and race to the Dolomites to retrieve it ourselves!
1200km away, Ferrari is our destination. Producing some of Italy's finest traditional method sparkling wines in Trento DOC, they focus primarily on Chardonnay, which Giulio Ferrari introduced to the area.
The Challenge: each candidate will run 100km for their team, between the 1st – 25th of December. Talk about a run up to Christmas?!
Teams will be running (figuratively) from our HQ in Clapham to the Ferrari Winery in the Dolomites. With 12 runners per team, that's 100km each to reach the sparkling finish line!
Our aim is to raise £1200 which will be donated to our four charity partners: The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Ace of Clubs, Autism Hampshire and Hometree.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity funds pioneering research at The Royal Marsden to advance the next generation of life-saving cancer treatments. With one in two people expected to face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, the disease affects every family, generation, and community — making ground-breaking progress in cancer research more vital than ever.
Ace of Clubs is the local charity for our London Office. It is a day centre in Clapham supporting homeless and vulnerable people. Ace of Clubs provides access to a hot meal, clothing, a laundry service, showers, healthcare, housing & welfare support, and access to computers.
Autism Hampshire is the local charity for our warehouse in Basingstoke. Their mission is to create opportunities, challenge perceptions, enhance choices, and provide high quality services to meet the diverse needs of autistic people. Autism Hampshire provides autism-focused Training, Domiciliary Care, Supported Living services, and have an Information, Advice and Guidance Team.
Hometree is the local charity for Liberty Wines Ireland. They work to establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland, encouraging land regeneration and biodiversity through afforestation, restoration and education.
