Liberia Emergency at TLP Ministry

For many years Whittier Christian High has partnered with Containers of Hope to serve the children of Liberia with backpacks.
A terrible tragedy has struck the family that we partner with there. Uncle John, the father of the 70 children at The Lord's Prayer Ministry (who spoke in our chapel back on November 30th), was driving 10 of his children in the bus. The bus was in a terrible accident on Friday, February 17. Uncle John was miraculously saved, along with a number of the children who escaped with minor injuries. We are heartbroken to report that two of the children (Faith and Laurens) were killed. Another boy - Rufus - was severely injured with some kind of spinal cord damage.
Uncle John and his family has an immediate need for money to help. Rufus has to be airlifted to a better hospital situation and we want to help with that and with his ongoing care. Even though it is hard to talk about, we want to reach out and help with the funeral services for Faith and Laurens.
Your donation, in any amount, will help us with our goal to serve this amazing family in Liberia. We also have donors who will MATCH up to $5,000!

All monies will go through Containers of Hope directly to Uncle John and The Lord's Prayer Ministry. Containers of Hope is a part of the Barnabas Group (non profit) and all the monies donated through this GoFundMe campaign will go throught these two great organizations and then to Uncle John Kpewoan in Liberia. Craig Bryson of the Barnabas Group has been designated as the beneficiary for this account, and he will work with Todd Williams of Containers of Hope to get the funds to John Kpewoan in Liberia. We will follow up with our trip there in early April as well! We head there starting on April 8th.
