Libby's Education in Memory of Blake
Donation protected
We are raising money to support two-year-old Libby and Vita.
Libby's father, Blake, tragically passed away on September 7 in New York City after a short and brave battle with cancer. He would have turned 40 on September 11. Vita, his wife, has asked us to help her raise money to cover costs she's facing including that of Libby's education.
Blake was a tenacious reporter and journalist with a zest for life. He also cared passionately about education. One of his proudest personal achievements was being named a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia Journalism School during the Covid-19 pandemic. After completing that fellowship he stayed on at Columbia where he was pursuing an MBA at CBS when he got sick.
As a parent, Blake had an unwavering commitment to offering Libby the calibre of education that he was fortunate enough to have, believing that this would equip her to realize every one of her dreams and adventures. Blake was an adventurer. He was convinced that education was the key to every adventure he was lucky enough to go on—the greatest and best of which, of course, was being a dad.
We want to honor that, by raising money for Libby’s school and college tuition to ensure the education that Blake would have wanted for her.
Thank you for your contribution at this challenging time for Vita, Libby and their loved ones. The funds will go directly to Vita.
