Libby's Cancer Fight!

On behalf of our Sunnyside preschool community, we set up this GoFundMe page to support teacher Libby in her fight against cancer. It is our hope that we as a community can come together to help reduce the stress that comes with a diagnosis and treatment plan of this kind, so she can focus on beating it. Libby has brought joy to so many kids and families across our community, and we want to do the same for her. Please consider donating anything you can.

Here’s some additional background for you:

In early August, Libby was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, Libby has been making a treatment plan with her team of doctors, getting scans and wrapping her head around it all. After a recent PET scan and MRI showed that the cancer had spread to her other breast and lymph nodes, plans were quickly adjusted. Since Libby will be starting chemotherapy next week, she and her new husband Joseph decided to harvest her eggs ahead of having chemotherapy. So on top of thinking about her treatment plan, she’s going through the hormonal process of egg retrieval.

It is our hope that this GoFundMe will help support them as they navigate this new version of their world as newlyweds to both enable them to focus on giving her the strength she needs to focus on saying F*ck cancer.
