Libby's Battle With Her Liver

Donation protected
Libby Azbell was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2009 causing her not to be able to work. Libby has battled with her health from there. She was then diagnosed with "NASH" (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis/Cirrhosis) as known as fatty liver in 2013. She was placed on the top of the Liver Transplant on September 20th of this year. October 2nd they prepared her for surgery however the liver was unusable and the surgery was canceled. October 7th Libby and her family were informed that she was being removed from the transplant list because her body was just to weak. Libby left OSU Hospital in Columbus Ohio on October 12th to return to her home in Logan with In-House Hospice Care to spend her final days with family and friends.

This long and continuing process has been covered greatly by insurance. However the co-pays, missed work for her husband and family during hospital visits/stays have taking financial burden. Now the family need to plan and prepare for her funeral arrangements. This has not been an easy path that has been placed in front of Libby and her family. But they are all doing the best they can to take every moment they have.

Libby is 58 years old and graduated from Logan Hocking High School class of 1976. Libby and her loving husband Jim Azbell have been married 25 years. The picture is of them, was taken before her health issues took over her body. She is an amazing mother of her 3 children (Shane, Shauna and Josh), and her 2 step children (Tim and Jason). In addition to her beloved 11 grand children and 1 great grand child. Libby has a heart of gold and loves all of her family and friends. Libby worked at Good Year in Logan for 6 years, Record Programs in Logan for 9 years, Super Duper for 3 years and Aldi’s in Lancaster for 12 years.

Any donation that you might decide upon monetarily, you will be helping to lift some of the burdens that are bearing down on them now as they attempt to enjoy their final days together. Thank you in advance for your kind and generous donations, whatever the amount, it will truly be a blessing.
