On Sunday Aug 30th, Liu Lianwu and Tony Sun were at Perry Farm Park for a family gathering, Tony Sun was walking in the river with Liu's 2 yrs old boy, and they fell into a hole in the river bed. The boy is rescued, but Sun disappeared, then Liu Lianwu entered in the river again try to find Sun, he slipped under the water and never surfaced again.

Liu's body was found on Monday, and Sun's body was found an eighth of a mile south of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Sportsmen’s Club on Tuesday.

Liu is a father of two, a 2 yrs old and a 4 yrs old boy. Sun is also a father of two and his 3rd child is coming in Oct. Both of them were Uber drivers and the primary breadwinners of the family. During the pandemic, neither of them went out to work. Now there is no financial source at home and they rely on some unemployment benefits to make ends meet. And now two widows had to take care of the children, and there was no way to go out to earn money. Now there is a large funeral expenses to pay, and they are in an extremely difficult predicament.

I hope everyone can lend a hand to help the two families. All the fund is donated to Lianwu's wife Change Xiao and Tony's partner Yanwei Jin, mother of Tony's unborn child; and the fund is used for their funeral and other bury expenses. Thank you very much!
