Lianne van Iperen
Donation protected
With great sadness we share that Lianne entered heaven surrounded by family and great love the afternoon of Tuesday, 13 November.
Her family is deeply grateful for all the support that was shown to them in the time since Lianne's diagnosis. In her final days, Lianne's steadfast faith shone through in strength and peace.
The funds that continue to be given are a great gift in this time of grief. They will be used by Clase van Iperen and family to cover costs of funeral arrangements, and for travel costs so family may be together in this time.
We rest in the assurance that Lianne is safely in the arms of Jesus, free of cancer and pain, and though our grief is fresh, the joy of the Lord is our strength.

On August 8, 2018, Lianne's 25th Birthday, she underwent a CT scan after a few months of feeling unwell. This began a series of phone calls and doctor's appointments over the next two weeks that ultimately led to the devastating diagnosis of NUT midline carcinoma. A rare and aggressive genetic cancer that is difficult to diagnose and treat.
As Lianne so eloquently wrote in a blog post announcing this diagnosis, this genetic mutation is "something of what seems like a mistake, but is in reality just how I was 'fearfully and wonderfully made'." A woman of deep faith and abounding love, Lianne is moving forward with grace and hope, surrounded by a wonderful community of family and friends.
This GoFundMe page has been created by those around Lianne and her family to help ease some of the financial burden that comes with a devastating diagnosis such as this.
For all those who know Lianne, or hear of her story and feel compelled to give - thank you so very much! Each penny donated will go so far to provide comfort and care in the days to come. Every prayer and kind word is heard and deeply appreciated.
The funds that are raised will be used at the discretion of Lianne and her family in the months ahead. Some areas would be to purchase supplementary medications, for parking passes at the hospital, for costs not covered in regard to treatment, for gas to travel the 1.5 hours to the cancer centre, as well as going towards plane tickets for Lianne's sister, brother and his family to get back to Canada from where they serve overseas.
The beneficiary of this campaign will be Clase Van Iperen, Lianne's mother, who will have access to the funds and distribute them according to need.
Thank you for coming alongside Lianne this way. We are all on our knees in prayer to the Lord, trusting for healing, wrestling with unknowns, and taking it moment by moment. Your prayer and support means far more than you could ever imagine.
From Lianne:
Thank you all, much love.
"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9.
