Our dear friend and family member Lianne Kalapaca, a CDDHS graduate and long-time resident of Grand Valley, Ontario, is facing a critical medical emergency while living and working in Vietnam.
Earlier this fall, Lianne became severely ill and has spent weeks in the ICU. Her condition remains critical, and her doctors believe she may need a liver transplant — a procedure that cannot be performed in Vietnam.
Her family has been working around the clock with her employer, doctors, and insurance company to coordinate care and prepare for her safe return to Canada for treatment. She is currently too fragile to travel, but her medical team is doing everything possible to stabilize her.
While some costs may be covered by insurance, there will be many uncovered expenses, including portions of her medical care, rehabilitation, and living costs during her long recovery.
We are asking for your help to support Lianne through this crisis — to ensure she can get home safely, receive the treatment she needs, and focus on healing.
Every contribution, big or small, brings Lianne one step closer to recovery and home.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
