Lianna is a smart, charismatic, kind little girl who loves life! Her personality is contagious! About a month ago, Lianna came down with strep throat, she was treated at Virtua Hopsital and eventually transferred to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She spent 2 weeks in the hospital and was discharged on Easter. We were confident she was on the up and up. She was home for about a week when symptoms returned. We were then immediately admitted back into CHOP where her wonderful team of doctors informed us that Lianna actually had B-ALL Leukemia.

What's B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia? B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) happens when the bone marrow produces too many abnormal B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps your body fight infection. This was devastating and scary news for our family. She has undergone test after test, many blood and platelet transfusions and still remains so brave throughout everything. She was transferred to the PICU for Tachycardia (SVU) and now is finally back down on the oncology floor where she has started her long battle with chemotherapy. Her father has been tirelessly working to support their finances, while trying to make sure that his daughter feels his presence at the hospital. This little girl is so full of life and we know she will fight with with everything she has, but their family needs our support now more than ever. No family should have to worry about figuring out how they will make ends meet or paying medical bills during a time like this.

We are so proud of how brave and strong she is. We can’t wait to get her home so she can hug and kiss her dog Ghosty and see her family and friends. We are so thankful she has so much love and support around her. This only makes her stronger and ready to fight!
