Hi, my name is Darren Hewitson, and I’m fundraising for my sister, Liane Hewitson, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic colorectal cancer. She’s currently going through palliative chemotherapy, and has been given a prognosis of around two years.

Liane has spent her entire adult life as a single mum to her now 3 adult children with autism, all of whom still depend on her today. She’s done everything on her own without ever asking for help, and without ever putting herself first.

Now she’s facing the toughest chapter of her life, and for once, she’s the one who needs support.

We’re raising funds to help Liane experience some comfort, peace, and joy in the time she has left. Whether that’s a few small getaways, time with her family, or just easing the financial pressure that comes with being sick, every little bit can make a difference.

•Easing Liane's mind to know her kids are not financially burdened with any afterlife care such as funeral costs etc

• Giving Liane meaningful experiences while she’s still well enough to enjoy them

• Supporting day-to-day needs and care as her health changes

• Helping her continue to be present for her kids without added financial stress

Liane has always been there for her children — she’s their constant, their advocate, and their safe place. I want to help give her something back, and I’m hoping others might want to do the same.
