Liana’s Leukemia Battle 2.0

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am putting this fundraiser together for Liana and her family. Liana was diagnosed with AML leukemia in November of 2021. She was officially in remission in May of 2022. Unfortunately, after feeling under the weather for several weeks in February—March, it was confirmed that Liana once again was facing another leukemia battle just under a week ago.

However, based on this fast comeback, it was apparent to her amazing team of physicians at Wake Forest Baptist and Messino Cancer Centers that her leukemia would most certainly not respond if only treated with chemotherapy. This time, after her extended inpatient chemotherapy stay at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, she will have to travel to Wake Forest Baptist for a stem cell transplant. After this transplant, she will be monitored closely for several months, requiring she reside near Wake Forest Baptist Health. This fundraiser is to help raise funds for that extended stay away from home, hoping to help with residential expenses, food, and gas, along with other medical bills as Liana once again faces the fight of her life.

If you know Liana is to love her. It is to feel her radiant positivity, smile, and contagious laugh. She is a Little League softball coach, a selfless friend, and someone that everyone is lucky to know.
