Hello!

My name is Jillian and I have created this GoFundMe account on behalf of one of my very dear friends, Liana Frost. Liana is quite possibly one of the most generous and selfless people I have ever met in my life, both personally and professionally. She spends her days balancing between caring for her patients as one of the greatest nurses I have ever worked alongside, and raising her 2 young boys and beautiful stepdaughter.

Liana was recently not feeling well, after 5+ days of a relentless stomach bug she (stubbornly) decided to go to the ER before she completely depleted her electrolytes. While in the ER on Friday April 28th they performed a CT scan, revealing an abnormality in her left breast, a complete incidental finding. She was urged to follow up with her primary doctor immediately the following week, her primary then recommended a biopsy of the nodule ASAP. On Tuesday May 23rd Liana had her biopsy done and impatiently awaited her results. She knew something wasn’t right, as her family/friends we stayed positive and optimistic but we could tell by the tone in her voice she was scared. On Tuesday May 30th while at work, she received her biopsy results confirming her worst fears, it was in fact Breast Cancer. The following day, Wednesday May 31st, she was seen at the Dyson Breast Center and received her diagnosis - Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

Countless doctors’ appointments, blood draws, further imaging, and two more biopsies have taken place since that day, Liana had her port placed on Thursday June 15th and her first day of chemo is scheduled for Tuesday June 27th. This entire process has happened so quickly, and as Liana begins Chemo in just 4 short days, she won’t be able to work much (if at all).
