My baby boy, Liam, is fighting for his life in the PICU, and sharing this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Liam went into cardiac arrest 3 times, once at home and twice at the hospital, and went into respiratory failure. He spent 120 days in the NICU, finally got discharged, and was only home for 2 1/2 days before this happened. He has been in the PICU for a week now, he is intubated, and we know he will be there for a while.
I stay in the room with Liam every day, and it breaks me to watch my son go through so much. I have watched him be poked with IVs, put on different medications, and seen his oxygen and heart rate sometimes drop to the point that he needs to be bagged. As his mom, all I want to do is protect him, and instead I am standing beside him watching him fight so hard every single day. My fiancé also has to take a leave of absence from work with no pay to stay with our baby.
I am asking for help because this need is urgent, and Liam is still in the PICU. Donations will help with hospital bills and support Liam while he continues to receive the care he needs during this stay. Any donation or share would mean so much to our family during this painful and uncertain time. Thank you for keeping Liam in your thoughts and for standing with us as he keeps fighting.
Much love and prayers to all.
