Liam's Mission: Help us Share Free Workbooks with families

Hi!

I’m Deana Wilson - Liam’s mom.

You might’ve heard of Liam - and for good reason. Around here, he’s known as Milton’s Little Superhero.

Liam was born on Valentine’s Day in 2015, and at just three weeks old, he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. This is a life-threatening genetic disease that requires daily treatments, hospital stays, and constant care. From day one, Liam has shown a strength beyond his years, facing every needle, test, and procedure with a courage that inspires everyone around him.

That diagnosis changed our life forever. It also lit a fire in our tummies.

I knew from the very beginning that Liam was special and that our story couldn’t stop at heartbreak.

So we got to work.

We’ve raised awareness

We shared our journey with schools, hospitals, and media

We fundraise

We connected with healthcare teams and other families living this reality

We’ve built a beautiful, supportive community

But through his journey, I’ve seen the gaps in support that families like ours face. The moments when you’re sent home with a diagnosis but no roadmap. The nights you lie awake wondering how to advocate for your child. The days when the mental load feels impossible to carry alone.

Parents like us are expected to become instant experts, therapists, nurses, and advocates, all while holding ourselves together for our kids.

I know there is a better way to support families facing these kinds of diagnoses. Not just medically, but emotionally and practically too.

So we created the next chapter of Liam’s Mission: The workbooks.

These are practical, heart-led resources designed to support families, educators, and healthcare teams.

We now have 8 workbooks in total, each designed to empower, educate, and bring hope to families navigating complex medical journeys.

Help Us Reach 5,000 Families

This year, our goal is to distribute 5,000 workbook bundles to families across Canada.

Each one is completely free to families across Canada - superheroes like Liam and the loved ones who walk beside them.

They’re already being shared by places like SickKids, CHEO, the Ottawa CF Clinic, and entire school boards like Peel and Halton. But printing and distribution takes funding, and that’s where sponsorship makes a real impact.

Any donation will help us.
